The Regina 525 HPE Z-ring chain with rivet link sets new standards in the performance and durability of motorcycle chains. This ultra-modern chain does not require regular relubrication, which makes it particularly low-maintenance. Motorcyclists benefit from significant time and cost savings as the usual lubrication every 1,000 km is no longer necessary.

Extensive testing in the laboratory and on the road has proven that the durability of the HPE chain is at least as high, if not higher, than that of a conventional, regularly lubricated Z-ring chain. A special feature of this chain is the coating with Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon (ta-C), one of the most advanced coatings in the field of DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) technologies. This coating is applied to the surface of the chain's bushings and rollers and ensures a reduction in energy losses and an increase in efficiency in the secondary drive.

The very high hardness of the coated surface combined with a low coefficient of friction results in improved performance. Additionally, eliminating the need to clean the chain and use lubricants minimizes environmental impact. This innovative ta-C coating technology was developed through intensive research and development work by Regina engineers in Italy.
